What does it mean when my classmates thought I was going to pick Psychology?

So I was on the last year of high school and we had to choose between three optional subjects: Physical Conditioning, Psychology and Photography. Apparently I had overestimated my physical prowess and I chose PC at first. The classes were brutal on my body. So I had to change subjects while I still could. My classmates knew this and asked me which one of the two I was gonna take. When I replied Photography they acted surprised and told me straight they thought I'd pick Psychology.

What does this mean? Did they think I was going to study the human mind so I could be a normie instead of a sperg? Fuck that shit, btw Photography was awesome, just taking random photos and editing them on GIMP.
