I never had the chance to eat venison in my whole life,Wildlife is fucked here in mexico so i cant go out there hunt and butcher one,What does it taste like? Anyone tried it?

Good, kind of tough to bite, slightly different from all other meat sorts (not comparable with anything else). Ate deer meat laced in wine a few years ago, was really good.

Couldn't enjoy it though because a severe neurodegenerative disease (a prion disease) currently affects deer populations around the world, was/am very afraid of them.

How about wild boar?

Very bland without the right kind of seasoning, same goes for elk as well.

Never had moose before but I'm pretty sure it's much the same.

Yes, that is a bit of a problem. In a survival situation you're better off with fish or fowl, and even small mammals like rabbits.

I don’t know

Boar, mostly
On my list, how is it any different from regular pork?

Other things on my list, I want to eat bear just so I can say I tried it.

I would probably eat mountain lion also, because, how many people can say they've ate that before?

I always thought deer was plain, sort of like goose when compared with duck. or alligator in comparison to chicken. Although it’s a bit tougher than most other meats, like the opposite of lamb.

Geese and ducks are delicious especially when served with red wine. Frog legs are nice, tried alligator once in Louisiana, didn't like it. I also don't like their fondness for crawdads either.

BRUH I love alligator ngl

AW MAN WHAT THE FUCK HOW U DONT LIKE CRAWFISH
With crawfish it's a chore eating them having to break open the shells and then get rid of them as you go along eating them, not much meat in them either where you're just sitting there thinking to yourself, why bother at all? And then there's the mess in eating them, I just don't like messy foods. I don't know, maybe it's me.

YEAH BUT THEY CRAWFISH

How about wild boar?
Never tasted wild boar - but where I live they are common. Even know a park where a family of them gets housed to teach people about boar biology/ecology.

Delicious. Absolutely fucking delicious.

My family would pick up road kills, butcher it up and cook it up, always absolutely delicious.

I don't like it, tastes too gamey. Btw, how tf are you incel in Mexico?

Alligator to me is like a cross between chicken a good savory fish. Deer is best described as gamey, it is tough and plain, but has its own unique flavor

Never had it but good for you for being in Mexico without borderhopping.

Are you mestizo?

Yeah, how come you’re still in Mexico unless if your family are narcos.

90% of beaner folks are mestizos,But some have white genes,I am a shitskin.

I had elk a few days ago. Doesn't taste that different from sausage

I've only had venison jerky, and only once. It tasted like beef jerky, as far as I could tell.

Try crow raven. It tastes like flying deer.

Cook it like chicken. But it tastes like deer.

They are everywhere.

Wow you guys have tried stuff. The only meat I've eaten is cheap chicken, lamb and cheap fish. And the only one of tgese I regularly consume is chicken
