both are going to be trash since both series rely so heavily on the fact that they are drawn and thus the art style and characters can be more expressive then is possible in other mediums like live action.

You can't really make luffy's arm and body look good when they start stretching in live action, Nor can you make the over top faces the characters make in both series look good on real people. If you remove that you kind of take away from what make the OG manga and animes so good in the first place

one piece is one of the most cartoony anime. Actually most anime can work in live action as long as you substitute the inner monologues which honestly aren’t even that needed or bad enough to be removed.

can't really make luffy's arm and body look good when they start stretching in live action

I think the key is to focus on how Luffy has ripped muscles and to animate those really well

you see this briefly w/ the Reed Richards adaptation but the prob is most of the time he wears the full suit so they skim over those details and it looks cartoonish

Luffy is always sleeveless though so they should be doing this 100% of the time

budget for it would prob be insane tho

also any live-action adaptation must have Luffy punch a woman
