RE2 Remake comes close. It’s a shame Capcom has yet to reimagine the 2019 magic for a second time, but it’s also what makes it so unique compared to the others.

Absolutely. It was done by a completely different team. Remember, game companies mean nothing, it’s all about the developers, and how much they’re able to keep their political views to themselves and out of our beloved games.

Just compare Leon & Claire in 2 to Jill & Carlos in 3. The Latter look nothing like the original Jill & Carlos.
She was an annoying cunt to everyone in the game except for Brad, In the original she was even friendly towards Mikhail & Nikolai & was terrified of nemesis unlike the demake where she calls him a bitch all the time. Nemesis was butchered so badly too he can go down in gameplay with one grenade blast
Not to mention that Jill was written disgustingly, and she was constantly bitchy and annoying, especially towards Carlos, which is basically representative of women in general (let’s be real) but that’s not the point.
The point is, she was nice, fearless, and unironically unique in the original vs. her Remake portrayal that is indistinguishable from your average modern roastie.

Nemesis's wasted potential still annoys me. They should have made him be exactly like he was in the original.
In all honesty: on my first playthrough of the game, I didn’t really mind him being scripted, mainly because I was too focused on his attack patterns and making my way around the area. I agree that Mr X’s dynamic behavior was what solidified him as a terrifying figure, but some of Nemesis’ moments were also quite memorable and enjoyable too.
It could have been far better if it was not rushed & if Capcom's first team worked on it.
That was my entry into the franchise and man was it awesome.

It was okay at best, honestly, it really wasn’t something as tragic as RE6 or Dead Aim like some people make it out to be.
They should have replaced the old "Sexist jokes" With new more "serious" Women jokes. But that would offend femoids & white knights.
See, the funny thing about this is, even the design behind the vehicle Leon drives in the beginning of the game is inspired by a relatively modern one (this was an admitted mistake), so you’re absolutely right, but it also makes sense for completely Japanese developers who had literal spelling mistakes in the original Resident Evil 2 to not be fully acquainted with the late 90s American settings and conditions.
We can't have anything that targets men anymore actually feature things that pander to men's likes. Instead companies choose to design games around a non existent audience of prudish women and trannies. What a shame.
