I agree with, because people without a moral backbone, strongly attached to their voices are easier to control.

Morality only ever restricts your freedom

It either pushes you to do one act so you're not free to do another, or, it tells you to never do one act even in circumstances where you desperately need such an act

An example would be Muslims following halal and eating halal foods only, if some large bull and they were trapped in a room and they had to eat that bull and that bull only, why would anyone care in this position about whether or not it's halal? If they stick to their morals they're gonna die, the bull will destroy their ribs

It's a weak example, because it acts on the imperative to survive (not die from injuries or hunger).

In the present reality you really don't have to kill anything to function. Food's there in the markets, civilized people don't see a point in killing each other if not seriously threatened.
Theft, rape and murder are not moral restrictions that don't make sense. Initiating violence to satisfy one's vice is wrong, using defensive force is alright.

ok but if people are bound to break their morals in an instance when things don't go in their favour, shouldn't morals be thrown out the window and isn't morality for the privileged (i.e. those who are protected and don't have to survive on their own)?

In my view, it's one way or another.
You stick to morals till the end or don't and never make claims about having had any.
As I said, initiating violence, just cos is not moral. USing defensive force against an assailant or kill an animal to eat and die is ok.
Some cultures have lots of rules in their code that really bound the humans.
Those rules that really matter should be limited to NOT being violent towards evidently innocent living beings.

If not just cause, what about enjoyment, like torture? I enjoy watching insects powerless while I control them, I don't want them to die, it gives me an ego boost I like to think I'm a good ruler, but it's enjoyable nonetheless.

If now was the time computers hadn't been invented, I would be watching insects and controlling them all day long

Also the survivability aspect, I would advocate for blowing up schools just because my life is hard because of them. I would do this for little things like getting to a higher position in a shcool or workplace and the way you get there is by talking and convincing and pleading.

If I feel hopeless I would certainly try and kill people if I have no other option
