The thing I found out about them from was the case with that guy from a fundamentalist background who was desperately trying to bone his girlfriend (mogs me), but she didn't want to (standard foid bullshit) because of their upbringing, so he faked an entire kidnapping and was trying to make it seem like those guys had done so and were now watching them, and so they should do it to help them survive.
