I think he's funny and memeable. Which in turn makes me not respect him as a Leader in any sense. His country is a mess and I hope that his reign will quickly falter.

He lives like a god while most people in his country live under extreme poverty. There is an animalistic and childish part of me that thinks north korea is cool though, the cruelty and miltarism of the country is appealing in a very primal way, but realistically it would fucking suck to have to live under unless you were in the upper core class.
North Korean propaganda mogs though and its not even close, you watch that shit and you actually start to believe the Kim family really are godlike beings, no other regimes propaganda even comes close.
I wonder what a country like north korea would look like if it had more resources and if it would even be sustainable, part of the way north korea maintains order is from fear if people are well off they are harder to control.

He is a tyrant who rules North Korea in the manner that he does solely for the purpose of perpetuating the dynasty established by his grandfather. He doesn't really have a choice though, because not only was he born into this family and raised to believe that North Korea is his family's property, but giving up power would inevitably lead to his death, whether at the hands of an international court in The Hague or his own people.
In any case, I still find North Korea to be a very interesting, even cool, relic of the 20th century.
