I don't know how many people here have even heard of this guy, but what you should know first and foremost is that he struggles with depression and substance abuse. Second thing you should know, he dated Ariana Grande. If you know who that is. And they broke up. And Grande is in her new music video like "TeeHee bye boi sorry I dipped thank u next" and her fans are like "Haha! FUCK that guy Pete Davidson, hooray Ariana Grande!" Kicking this already very broken man while he's down. Because nobody gives a damn about the man's feelings when he's involved in a breakup. They rush to console the woman. Because she must have feelings. The man surely doesn't care. And when the woman is over it, time to use the man and the memory of him as a punching bag to show off just how much stronger than yesterday the woman is now. And it reached the point where Davidson penned a letter of defiance on social media, saying to all of the people who came to harass him "No matter what you do, I will not kill myself."
A letter saying "I will not kill myself" is like a letter saying "I will kill myself." Who are you trying to convince? Especially knowing Davidson's history of struggle. And somehow people can get away with this? It's got me like "See? See??? We blame The Patriarchy™ for 'toxic masculinity' and 'bro culture' so why don't I get to blame some Matriarchy somewhere for this kind of culture? How come when a woman is a victim, it's The Patriarchy, but when a man is a victim, it's just a few bad fans and Not All Women Are Like That? Why can't I talk about women the way the rest of the world talks about men? I just wanna be able to blame as many women for these kinds of ills that we blame men for other kinds of ills."
On the other hand, Davidson also apparently has a big dick. And I'm not saying I hate the guy for it, but the jealousy is powerful. I can't help but feel like "How do you give even the slightest threat of a damn about Grande?" He's size queen vetted and approved, he's got his pick of pussies anywhere in... at least New York City. A plumber doesn't hang around after he lays the pipe, he moves on to the next client. But this is all wasted sermon on Davidson, I know. That kind of life means nothing to him, and he's incredibly soy. He would have to be for Grande to choose him. She wouldn't put up with a man who didn't subscribe to her Steinem-brand "Everything bad in society past and present is the fault of men" feminism. So he, being as soy as he is, pledged his allegiance to Grande. And she cast him aside. And now he's like "What was it all for? I loved her..." In short, the soy didn't pay off.
Putting up with Grande's sanctimony alone, I feel, is worth some on the curb. But this is a man with legitimate mental health issues who needs a supportive shoulder. I would like to tell him "Go literally anywhere and tell them you're the guy the phrase 'Big Dick Energy' was invented for and women will line up to suck the depression out through your balls." He seems almost lazy to me. But even at my most jealous I understand that this guy deserves care that he isn't getting. And that this world is toxic in ways people aren't talking about. And his case is the proof.
