As a thought experiment, if you were to have a child, what do we know you could do to make him/her their best possible version?
pls no brainlet "hurr durr genetics cradle to grave", we know from animal experiments and the clinical work in orthotropics that early life environment can strongly influence facial development (and probably has knock on effects on the larger health and robustness of the organism)
I think we can agree so far:
- good nutrition
- proper breathing (i.e the opposite of mouth breathing) and strong early use/stimulation of jaw muscles.
- proper posture operating on the same principle as avoiding mouth breathing and dysfunctional muscle patterns
- high levels of physical activity
but thats about it AFAIK. And good nutrition is still a very vague and controversial topic.
androgen exposure is a controversial one. While there are obvious benefits, it also stands to reason that high levels of androgen in a pubertal child would also result in decrease of final adult height.
estrogen reduction is another controversial one. Boys with aromatase deficiency indeed grow very tall, but the way their skeleton is formed is not good for lack of a better term. Strongly resembles klinefelter syndrome and poor muscle condition as well as excessive fat storage (again, this is contrary to the widespread belief of estrogens as fat storing hormones). There is also some evidence that estradiol (the primary estrogen byproduct of testosterone and aromatase interaction) is responsible for masculinization of the brain in mammals. If that is true, it is not a stretch to assume it extends to other organs.
