I remember when I was in Madrid not so long ago and I walked in front of the first (and for now the only) Jollibees restaurant in Spain. It was very crowded so I didn't try it but after looking at the menu online I'm happy I didn't tbh. It seems just another fast food franchise but for some reason it's been overhyped and overrated by foodie influencers/youtubers and now everybody wants to go there, not just Filipinos. Portions look small too and in contrast with Philippines where it's dirt cheap in Spain it costs pretty much the same as Mcdonalds or KFC so you don't save money by going to Jollibees. I think it's just a trend and when the hype dies they will lose a lot of customers but since the Filipino community in Spain is big + tourists they will be able to survive.
Btw the Jollibee spaghetti is an abomination and if Mussolini was still alive he would declare war on Philippines for bastardizing the most famous Italian dish so much kek. Overcooked pasta with a shitton of industrial cheese, ketchup and frankfurt sausage

WTF Philippines.
