was sitting in the library in the quiet section writing a paper when a group of 5-6 school children foids around 10-12y old came in and was very noisy. i dont think they did any homework but had some books and stuff infront of them, i had earphones in while listening to music but could still hear them and it was getting really annoying. there was a big sign that said that one needs to be quiet in this section and they even saw it and commented it and one of them mentioned couple times to be quiet because i was also there but nothing changed.
When i was packing my stuff they tried to get my attention saying we are sorry like wtf is that supposed to mean, show you are sorry by being quiet, they repeated this but i pretended to ignore them, i even had earphones on yet they still said it like 5 times more but i never looked at them and just went out because i was finished with the paper.
were they mocking me or were they low iq with zero discipline because they were ethnic refugees
I dont know if i was rude to them by ignoring instead of saying its no problem because they are still children and dont have the greatest attention span or if i instead should tell them directly to be quiet but that would also seem rude because kids can behave how they want and i would look like that grumpy angry guy who gets mad at children?
this whole situation was a lose lose for me, tell them to be quiet i lose, tell them no problem i lose because then they would talk more, ignore them also rude?
