Yes it's about forcing devs to give us files so we can host them as community. Publishers get mad as it would not let them to steal money and just move to the next GAAS slop that they will shut down next

I think it's awesome. I'm tired of games/franchises I like being completely killed off with multiplayer support and all shut down. I think if the companies no longer care to spend money on it anymore that they should give the gamers and players of their games the files to do so.
