well american police respond to mass shootings very quick and most places would have security, but in Australia, our police are not trained for shootings at all and respond very slow to them. Take the 2025 Bondi Beach shooting for an example, the police station was very close to the beach and the police came to the scene very fast but just stood and watched as Naveed and Sajid shot and killed 15 people. After 10 minutes they actually decided to do something and shot them and killed one of the attackers. Also in Bondi, the westfield stabbings can also be a good example. 2 Pakistani security guards approached Joel Cauchi who was armed with a ka bar knife and stabbed both of the security guards (killing one) and went on with his knife rampage, killing 6 people. Both the police and security have no clue what to do or they are just very weak and can easily be stabbed and shot also.
Look at the bondi shooting in AUS, 2 shooters in a very very busy beach + a busy jew event, both with like 3 guns each, only got 15 combined even though no civilians had guns

Most attacks out in open spaces like at a beach have low killscores because everyone just runs away. If they did it in a building they would of got a lot more kills even with just the hunting rifle and 2 shotguns
