I'd say the odds are pretty much in favor of that being the case. Unless the guy is a total psychopath, which I haven't gathered from the news, there's every disincentive for a normie of Laundrie's caliber to murder a Stacylite without some serious provocation.
1000% odds she provoked him until he had enough. She had the higher value in the relationship since he was a balding manlet so she probably did that shit many times until he finally snapped.

Consering their respective SMV's, I tend to think she was already cheating on him with a better looking (extremely easy to find for the average non-obese female)/richer guy and the guy couldn't handle losing her and snapped in a moment of pure rage.
