i was in the exact same boat a few months ago. you might even be able to find the IOI thread if you dig deep enough. she is either virtue signalling, trying to make you an orbiter or genuinely pities you.

My theory is that some girls just want to make an already insecure guy even more insecure by playing games. She pretends to like you, and you start believing it and then she's like "Joke hahaha look at you disgusting piece of shit who do you think you are?!". This would be humiliating.

has she always been nice or at least pretending to hold a "nice" persona with everyone? i highly doubt she would be trying to fuck with you if this is the case. if she isnt then its well in the realms of possibility that she is fucking with you. either way you need to stop yourself before you end up humiliating yourself like you said.

I only see her in school but from what I've observed so far she is very nice to everybody, smiling a lot etc. but behind their backs she gossip talks. I think I even heard her talking about me with one of her friends twice. I hope I wouldn't get hope from small things because that makes me hopeful which is stupid..I just need to take a look into the mirror.

the second year after recovering from a fatal illness she started virtue signalling like MAD. first day she was saying how only she spoke to me etc etc. kept asking how im doing etc. i thought this was just general politeness + sympathy of what i went through but one day i came into class and she smiled in a way that bluepilled me. what i mean is, i actually legit thought she was genuinely into me because of that smile. this combined with the fact that she broke up with her bf about a month or two ago made me actually start thinking i had a chance with her. all logic was thrown out of the window. i then had an epiphany that it is completely hopeless the break after this and a month later i heard she has a new BF. now i couldnt give two fucks about her. one good thing i got out of it is that it made me start looksmaxxing and gymcelling. other than that the mind fuckery just made me even more bitter and cold.

Smiles are literally so dangerous. Smiling is what attracts a man to a woman the most. I also thought "wow she's smiling a lot" but then I noticed she smiles at EVERYone.
I just realized she once called me ugly while we both were in a good mood, laughing etc. She didn't mean to hurt me with this, she accidentally said that. It's over.
