"Western" is a term used too loosely. I'm italian (a western) and i cringe every time i hear about "pasta alfredo", "meatball spaghetti" or "pizza with pineapple", but true nice italian cuisine still exists.
Cultural appropiation is a SJW fake topic. You can't steal culture. You can borrow and parody it, but not steal.
