Absolutely insane graph if true. Sure, the US absolutely dominated the world in 1990s and early 2000s, and I can imagine its box office at the time being 50% of the world total, but 60-80% and possibly even more before 2000?

That country was busted beyond belief in that era.

It's completely nonsensical. It reminds me of the Hot Coffee controversy Rockstar Games faced, all because a pixelated sex minigame was hidden in the game files. People had no problem with drugs, murder, gang violence, or whatever else — but pixelated sex is where they drew the line
