Lenovo because I'd been eyeing an LOQ model with 12 gen I5 and 4060 GPU. It's the cheapest 4060 one can get here.
The store clerk showed me the total cost of that item and then suggested that the 12th gen is an old model and I should get a "newer" 13th gen 13650hx model. With a ram upgrade to 24GB and MS office added it with 3050 GPU it cost me as much as the 4060. At the GPU part he asked me what my gaming requirements are. Since I haven't played any since last 10 years I named some games like RDR2 and GOW. At which he said that GOW is an old game now and a 2050 or 3050 GPU should meet my requirements well enough. (I guess he could see I'm not going to game hardcore). He also suggested that a 12th gen i5 won't be able to properly utilize the 4060
Anyway, my friend seems to agree with that assessment. That I should get a 3050. He thinks that 4060 is an overkill for me and that a 3050 should take care of everything I'll play. He also says that a 3050 would be cheaper so I wouldn't regret getting a gaming laptop too much if it doesn't end up suiting my style and if I may want to buy a console in the future. The battery backup on all of them is abysmal.
Now I'm more confused than ever
