Humans are naturally killers, wild animals. We must suppress our evil nature, knowing that it doesn't always get us far. Sometimes you have to be kind to others, otherwise you'll make unnecessary enemies or go to jail. Only the fear of the consequences keeps us from doing evil and terrible things. If we didn't have this fear, we would all be, without exception, sociopaths, killers or rapists. Men and women. However, because this causes too much damage to oneself in the long term, one makes a conscious decision to be a good and functioning member of society, this is the most comfortable way to live. At the end, kindness is deception. No human is naturally kind, it’s just a mask and that’s why i don’t find humans respectable or lovable. I have no mercy for someone who isnt a pure creature and humans definitely are not pure creatures.

Yes, our violent nature stems from our need to hunt for food and kill predators to survive.

But this I disagree with:

Kindness is mostly the result of inherited psychological traits, like high cooperation and low aggression. Something to the effect of 50% of an individual's personality is heritable, so if meek and passive genes somehow luck out and pass through in a sea of aggressive competition, then it follows that some humans will outwardly exhibit traits that are described as kind.

Anecdote incoming. My friend's four year old nephew is kind. He's soft-spoken, well-behaved, protective of his younger sibling, and shares food and toys. His niece, who is the younger sibling, is aggressive, selfish, and has violent tendencies like hitting other kids. She also screams a lot when not getting her way. My friend's kid nephew is not Stewie from Family Guy wearing a social mask and playing the long con to have us all fooled. He really is just a kind and gentle soul.

There are a lot of kind people, but sadly governments dont protect nor promote them, so they end up being prey or victims of bullies and evil people. "Goodness" is often considered a synonym of "stupidity", and who knows, might be right
