for someone with zero formal training who self taught himself this and also, he was making money already selling these and postcards he was painting, so he was already pro-level to a degree - absolutely not. Even though he wasnt refined, had some proportion issues and sucked at drawing people (probably needed more training doing live drawing of people which he didnt have access to), he still mogs 99% of artists today. If you go on any art website where people post their paintings, be it etsy, 4chan, some subreddit - the effort and skill he put into these mogs 99% of the posters. I was also told he sucked in school but without explanation. He objectively didnt suck, and with focused training could have become a highly skilled painter.
He was missing the connections that a money "stein" in his name would have given him.

I like his art and i genuinely believe people who say he was a bad artist are lying out of their asses cause they dont want to give a fascist any credit. But the main reason he got rejected is cause he had some issues with perspective and proportions which honesty are understandable cause he was self-taught not really lack of talent on his end. if he had a proper teacher most of the issues in his art would have been fixed under a year or so since he clearly had a strong dedication to it, counting he got this good training on his own. overall i would say he was a really good artist like gecko said better than 99% of modern artist, but not quite top-tier level since he lacked a formal training which is probably why he wanted to got to an art school to begin with

Hitler was self taught and the main problem he had with art was perspective which could've easily been ironed out if he got accepted into art school. Intuitively and technically, he was very talented.

I'm pretty sure he did improve it later, a lot of their examples are when he was younger. It's like saying any professional artist sucks because their early examples were unpolished. You can see the talent.
I read the art schools back then were looking for more imagination and creativity rather than regular drawings of surroundings.
