Back when I was a kid, I literally hated everything that was fictitious.
I remember in early elementary school, we would have reading assignments and I would always try to choose non-fiction books or books containing some sort of information. We were forced to read certain genres and I would throw a fit about it. I remember in second grade, I exclaimed at the Scholastic Book Fair that all the books were lame because there were little to no non-fiction books, and I got scolded by the teacher for it.
I would get extremely disinterested in all of the fiction books or anything made up and wouldn't read anything fictious. Hated reading about fantasy stuff like dragons and made up fairytale or sci-fi stuff. Whenever we had to make stories (we sometimes had to make stories), I enjoyed doing it only if I made them based off of real events or an alternate scenario that would be realistic. No flying cars or anything like that.
Only exception for this I made was for games. I wouldn't mind fantasy themes in those.
Was anyone else like this?
