Remove the societal negative stigma against cheating and polygamy and these fake relationships would end overnight.

It's the "I would love a guy like you" concept. Females need a way of praising your personality since they've insisted that it's important, but they don't want to imply that they'd date you because they find you disgusting. To achieve this, they praise you but throw the burden of dating you over to hypothetical other women that will never exist.

Men are violent because we want change and we have the drive and ability to do so. Females were always submissive, so they developed the abilities to be more sexually and emotionally controlling as their defense.
