we are the only species that doesn't have to eat meat
idk what do you mean, there are plenty species which aren't obligate carnivores, herbivores being the most obvious ones
@TheNEET is a vegan soyboy frfr
yeah, it's been almost 5 years and it's become such an obvious second nature to me that I sometimes forget that regular people eat meat, not just meme edgelords like Liver King, kek
idk how mofos manage to fuck vegan nutrition up cos I just eat shit like rice, beans, lentils, oats, nothing fancy, I don't, like, track nutrients or anything, and only consistently supplement B12 and sometimes D3, especially in winter (same as when I ate meat, it's just recommended to everyone here)
I also allow myself some (sometimes plenty) vegan junk like nuggets and whatnot and it's fine, tho it's obviously better to keep high fiber, low fat etc.
I've experienced some health benefits of eating more plants, like lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, less severe allergic reactions etc. but it's mostly about ethics and it's such an obvious choice for me that I think it's rarely worth debating cos if someone disagrees, they must have such fundamentally different moral system than me that we won't get each other anyway
for me it's simple: if we can live/eat in a way that causes less harm/suffering to animals (and veganism being possible at least for me is just an empirical truth for me & despite all the crop death pilpul, afaik it's still way better and we can improve upon it, while there's an unavoidable bottleneck of slaughter with animal agriculture), we should do so
