I was vegan during my early teenage years, mainly for ethical reasons (that all involuntary murder was wrong) but I've also managed to lose a lot of weight.

In the end it wasn't very sustainable because I felt that I didn't eat as much as I should and since I didn't earned my own money I had to eat what my family eats.

That being said, I don't think eating meat in and of itself is unethical. The animal itself is dead and what's left is the carcass. I do agree that mass factory farming has animal cruelty issues on top of being unhealthy due to all the hormones the animals are injected and all the additives added to meat, as well as many other issues.

Traditional farming and hunting are much more ethical in comparison (although not as sustainable for a large urban population, but certainly for a small family) and as long as the animal is being slaughtered without the intent of cruelty or causing unnecessary pain.

Though I think in the future we will probably replace factory farms once lab-grown meat and/or plant-based alternatives become feasible enough to feed the masses.

Them abstaining from eating meat isn't going to stop the factory farms and the slaughterhouses, and everyone else will keep eating meat. Tbh they could give less of a fuck that animals are being killed, they just want the claim of having no part of it.

Veganism is another stupid ideology that is proposed by SJW freaks to change long-existing traditions just like their gender bullshit. The idea is the same, too.
