When archiving some of my race science files, I came across the VAK codex from early 2020s.

I think the VAK Empire back in the day, when clanning was alive, was truly a force to be reckoned with. It was strong superclan (a powerful clan) rather than a megaclan (a big clan). You had to go through strict selections and participate in its events before being granted membership.

Even for someone who somehow manages to get into high ranks in most groups due to my leadership and combat skills, I never got into VAK despite being VAC (the cadet program), largely due to my time zone being the completely opposite of the Americans (GMT+8); been trying to get to it since 2010, with last attempt at 2021-2022.

One aspect about the VAK chat was how cultish it felt compared to other clans.

Here are some aspects.

- Must refer to VAKs as sir/ma'am
- Must be positiive
- Must be mature
- Must not have mis spellings and shorthands, not even "afk" or "Hello,Sir."
- They even had alt tab monitoring to ensure you stay on the screen; this is made obsolete with phones
- Even in their community discord, all of these groups must be followed to a T.

Here are the "codex" and laws (Thanks Grok for OCRing the codex because they blocked it)

  1. Citizens of Vaktovia should be addressed as ‘Citizen’ or ‘Civilian’. Higher-ranking Vaktovians must be addressed as ‘Sir’ or ‘Ma’am’ in person and optionally with their rank before their name when speaking about them. Generals should be addressed as ‘Lord’ or ‘General’ in person and always with their rank before their name when speaking about them. The Emperor should be addressed as ‘The Emperor’ when speaking about him and ‘Sire’ (not ‘Sire Vaktus’) or ‘My Emperor’ when speaking directly in person.
  2. Vaktovians must ALWAYS be professional, this cannot be stressed enough. Though there are many ways to define maturity, we look at immaturity as whether a Vaktovian is behaving in an appropriate manner depending on the situation. This means messing around in places like a raid or defense will not be tolerated, and a strict, serious attitude is required at all times.
  3. Vaktovia must be your primary focus on ROBLOX. Vaktovians must ensure it is their primary group on their profile as well as their priority over other events and activities outside of Vaktovia. We are not a second option, we are a full dedication, we are an obligation. If you do not realize and appreciate this, then you are not worthy of our ranks.
  4. A Lazy Vaktovian does not deserve to be a Vaktovian. An inactive soldier who no longer seems to care about the group will be removed, regardless of rank. Inactivity will have a zero tolerance attitude. Any soldier who cares about the group should file an inactivity notice to notify of his/her inactivity.
  5. The use of faces is highly limited and prohibited. Faces that show positive emotion such as “xd” “:)” “D” “:3” are banned. Faces that show negative or neutral emotion such as “-.-” “>>>” are acceptable. It is encouraged that you refrain from using them on an excessive level when on duty.
  6. Grammar and punctuation. Vaktovians and VAC units are expected to present themselves well in all aspects, including that of speaking. Full grammar and punctuation is expected to be used when on duty. Full stops, capital letters, commas, etc, fall into this category. You are also required to spell to the best of your ability, so that there are less miss-communications.
  7. Never give up. Vaktovians will continue to fight until the end no matter the difficulty of the situation. They shall not give up no matter how hard a task is or how long it takes to complete. This shows that we are not weak, and are strong-willed and determined until the end.
  8. Respect. Not just those above, but those below you and around you. Respect is something that brings us all together as a community and as an Empire. We are all united, so we should all treat each other as if our lives depended on it. You should not go around starting arguments and making grudges between your fellow soldiers, for they will be the person you fight with when in action. You are also expected to treat all civilians and opponents with respect, as is our professional duty as soldiers.
  9. Vaktovians are NEVER to use all-caps. The only exception to this rule is Officers who are trying to make their orders clear, and unmissable.
  10. As a Vaktovian, you are never to leave a raid, defence or training unless given permission by the host that it is acceptable to do so. If you are required to leave for real-life reasons then you must whisper your host requesting to leave. If you happen to disconnect, you MUST let the host of your server know at the first given opportunity.
  11. Vaktovians are required to speak in teamchat at Raids, even if bubble-chat is the only form of communication available. Vaktovians must appear completely silent to the enemy whilst an offence or defence is taking place.
  12. Fighting against the Empire is strictly forbidden. Anyone attempting to raid or defend against Vaktovia will be pronounced a traitor and dealt with in accordance.
  13. Online partnerships are strictly forbidden between two or more people who are both members of the Empire and/or VAC. This is to maintain a professional group environment and to prevent future drama or bias between our members.
  14. Negativity, sarcasm, and toxicity are not tolerated on or off-duty. This is not to be confused with simply disagreeing with someone or pointing out a flaw in an idea, but these criticisms must remain constructive.
  15. No groups, communities, or discords outside of Vaktovia may have more than 25% of its member base occupied by Vaktovians, or 20 Vaktovian Imperial Military personnel, unless officially excused by the High Command for one of the following reasons:
  • The group in question is well established, with facilities, forts, training places and uniforms.
  • Said group or community exists to bring clans together.
Should Law 15 be broken or a loophole to this rule attempt to be found, the maximum Vaktovian capacity for all groups will be lowered to fifteen members or less.

Their codex:
The Remind, Record, Report (RRR) maintains law and order within the Empire, and begins when one sees a comrade breaking a Vaktovian law, rule, or regulation. It is your duty to follow through with this system if a comrade goes rogue. The RRR System is broken down as:

■ SECTION I | REMIND
If one of your comrades breaks one of Vaktovia’s laws, you are to immediately remind them of which law they have broken. This is a reminder; however, if they do not heed to it and continue to break the law, begin collecting evidence and move onto Record.

■ SECTION II | RECORD
If a person in question has broken the law repeatedly after being reminded, you must take it upon yourself to begin collecting evidence. Ensure that your reminders are part of this. Evidence is not exclusively limited to video, the four options for recording incidents are: video recordings, screenshots, audio, or three witnesses.

■ SECTION III | REPORT
After the evidence is collected, the next stage is to report the lawbreaker with evidence to the appropriate person who can handle the situation. This is dependent on the lawbreaker's rank within VAC/VAK.

■ SECTION IV | REPORTING DIFFERENT PEOPLE TO DIFFERENT AUTHORITIES
When you do have to report a cadet or member of the Empire, you address the following people for the specific ranks:
  • VAC L1 → L1 Head Trainer
  • VAC L2 → L2 Head Trainer
  • VAC L3 → L3 Head Trainer
  • Legionary and Centurion → Head of Justice Department/Other Legate
  • Legate Colonel → Legate General
  • Legate General → Legate Supreme General
  • Legate Supreme General → The Emperor

| DE-FACTO LAWS

Within our Empire there are not just written laws, but De-Facto Laws. These laws are not found within the Codex. They are common sense, things which are expected and should not have to be told not to do.
  • Always wearing the correct uniform to events according to rank.
  • Never killing a comrade without a reason.
  • Do not break the terms and conditions of ROBLOX.
  • Crouching on a dead body is not permitted.
  • Following all valid orders given by someone with the authority to give an order.

| COMPOSURE, OBEDIENCE, ACCORD

There is a certain way that Vaktovians are expected to act, and Cadets should adopt this mentality as well if they wish to progress within the Empire. This mentality is best summarized as:

■ SECTION I | COMPOSURE
Knowing the right time and place for when and how to act.

■ SECTION II | OBEDIENCE
Following a valid order from a superior without hesitation.

■ SECTION III | ACCORD
The importance of respecting your comrades and getting along.

| ON-DUTY SPECIFICATIONS

1 - When present on duty, you are expected to follow ALL the rules and regulations at ALL times. There are no exceptions.

2 - Nobody is above the law. If you see somebody breaking one of Vaktovia’s laws, rules, or regulations, you are to enact the Remind, Record, Report system (found in the Rules and Regulations section of the Index). The only person exempt of this rule is The Emperor.

3 - Your uniform and headgear must be perfect. Attire conduct is found in the next section

| ON-DUTY OR OFF-DUTY

1 - If you are in any official Vaktovian uniform, you are on duty.

2 - If you are at any Vaktovian-related facility or base, you are on duty.

3 - With regards to Discord and other instant messaging services, if you are speaking to an Officer/Vaktovian in which you do not have an established relationship with the individual and they state the chat is on duty or Vaktovian matters are being discussed, then you are to treat it as on duty. If there is an established relationship between the individuals, reports will be handled on a case by case basis by VAC Staff or the Justice Department. This enables the ability to joke around with friends or have general discussion about a DT for example, but more professional matters should follow the Vaktovian Codex.

4 - In terms of Vaktovian events, the extent of how you act at an official Vaktovian event is obviously dictated by the organizer; however, if the event is in relation to points 1 and 2, then you are on duty.

5 - Community Discords: As a Vaktovian, regardless whether VAK is your primary or not, you are always representing the Empire and should do so in a suitable manner. Incessantly starting drama or causing problems will not be tolerated, particularly within community discords.
6 - With a direct hand placed upon this ruling by the Emperor, any form of racism, homophobia, or sexism is strictly prohibited. Individuals caught violating this policy will be prosecuted to a severe degree, whether it be off or on-duty.

| ATTIRE CONDUCT

■ SECTION I | UNIFORM ETIQUETTE
1 - When you are at a Vaktovian facility, or a Vaktovian related event, you must wear your correct uniform, unless the event itself warrants otherwise.

2 - No matter where you may be- when you are in your Vaktovian uniform you are on duty.

3 - You may never alter the uniform, or wear unapproved T-Shirts over it.

4 - Unauthorized uploading of Vaktovian assets/valor (divisional uniforms, awards, etc) that you have not rightfully earned will result in permanent removal from the Empire. If you were not formerly recognized by the appropriate entities to adorn their items, then do not wear or upload them as your own.

■ SECTION II | REGULATIONS
1 - All Packages are banned from being used on-duty, no exceptions.

2 - Any hat combinations that do not fit our theme, color-scheme, or are otherwise regarded as unsuitable are not permitted. Our Hat Verification Checker can be found here. The following accessory-types are not permitted to be worn:
  • shoulder accessories are not acceptable;
  • back accessories are not acceptable;
  • waist accessories are not acceptable.
3 - All hair is banned other than;

4 -Skin tones for cadets of the Army Corps must be Dark Stone Grey. For Vaktovians it is acceptable to wear one of the following skin tones;
  • Grey
  • Black

5 - You are not to wear faces that show happiness, or signs of immaturity. Faces that show an angry/evil/neutral emotion are permitted. If an Officer orders you to remove a face, you are to remove it and never wear that face again on-duty.

6 - If you are unsure if your hat(s) are suitable: ask an Officer, or use some common sense.
7 - If you are in doubt, remove it. If a fellow soldier believes your hat combination is unsuitable for Vaktovia, then ask an Officer before you continue wearing your combination.

8 - If an Officer deems your hat combination to be immature, you must trust in their judgement.

| GREETING POLICY

■ SECTION I | DURING AN ACTIVE TRAINING
1 - Do not greet Captain+ during an active training. This is considered to be when the host is within the process of teaching, or during on-going combat. Greetings are required while standing in formation, waiting for an event to begin. The only exception to this is the Supreme General, or Emperor.

■ SECTION II | GREETING THE HIGHEST RANK
2 - Greet the highest ranking Captain+ only. If a Colonel is present and a Major arrives, you do not greet the Major. If an individual of the same rank arrives, you must greet them additionally.

■ SECTION III | DO NOT INTERRUPT THE EMPEROR’S PRESENCE
3 - Nobody is to be greeted whilst the Emperor is present. This is self-explanatory, he is required to be present without interruption. All attention is on him.

| LEAVE OF ABSENCE

Whenever you are formally discharging from the Empire as an Army Corps Cadet, you do not have to inform your Head Trainer or VAC Management of your leave. For Vaktovians, to be recognized as a Retired Vaktovian, you must contact a Legate in which certain criteria is reviewed to determine such status on a case-by-case basis. More importantly, regardless of your rank or for whatever your reason is in leaving, doing so only to then join a blacklisted group within a week’s time/to raid and defend against us will get you suspended. After a week has passed since your last date of active, you will no longer be bound to this policy.

This sounds somewhat reasonable if you're looking for an identity, but it is fatiguing.

In reality, it is a high control 'community, with constant sneaking and full of people faking positivity and nitpicking on others' mistakes in order to feel good about it, ultimately breaking apart because people are too afraid to use the community chat or only use it for performative purpose to look active.

This is antithesis to real life militaries, which tend to be pretty informal once you make it past basic training; half of the jokes like barrack bunnies and the things written on tank barrel like "BIG NIGGER 2000" would never be allowed in VAK.

Also, it differs from most elite divisions that the more elite you are, the more you are given leeway to be immature; a bit similar to how IRL Navy Seals get away with things (my elite divs trolled main army LOL).

Finally, this is interesting because despite the elite reputation, VAK always lose wars or achieve parity. They 'won' against CSP but actually had way worse win ratio; the 'win' was due to endurance.

I run small right wing incel groups; my communities are drop-in and drop-out with none of the bullshit; even my ROBLOX clans, both of these I ran and I was in, had much lower power distance.

I recall serving in the Roblox State iraq and syria. I retired and settled in Bloxburg

It probably has to do because the main ones interested in clanning are teenagers, and teeangers would follow any rule if it meant they got in a clan as elite as that. Then the people who make the rules are usually adults on an power trip to make people feel bad about themselves.. I used to like RCL but I grew out of it, but I know many people who played from 15 and now are 20 and it is still their priority, but now those 20 year olds are the one in charge and they're power tripping, just a vicious cycle
I remember having to do like 500 hell jacks and writing an essay because I broke a rule in an SCP roleplay game (wasn't clanning but had the rcl system), why? Because I accidentally revealed my identity on a different team than the one I was in (it was public anyways, but they have a rule where you can't do that)

I miss being in Roblox MIlsim groups and SCPFs.
