Back during the 2000s, Japanese pop culture seemed to be more popular than now but there were a lot of embarrassing Weeb types that pretended to be Japanese. My distaste for their morals led me to reject Japanese music due to association. In 2019, I have to come to admit that Japanese music is the only type of music I can enjoy and speaks to my soul. Also, Japanese music is the best objectively due to its non degeneracy. All other music around the world is disgusting and degenerate. Even though things like Pop Punk used to be popular in the West during the 2000s, it is completely gone now. However, even in 2019, Japan still makes good Rock music. Also, Japanese music has a good amount of energy in their music, I'm bored by a lot of music from other countries but Japanese music has a certain emotional intensity that is distinctively Japanese.

I dont listen to any music in particular. Right now I kind of like vulgargrad (russian thieves/criminal songs of the underground but with more jazz). But I also listen to game soundtracks, military marches, and even country (Sometimes). Just depends on what I'm into.

Even amongst elitist music snobs like pitchfork, every good artist is basically black and raps or does r&b. According to them the only good artists of the decade are Kanye west, Kendrick Lamar and some other black dudes that are "woke". So fuck any experimental shit with instruments or electronics, just be black and rap lol

Basically everything in the west is copying black music and is stagnant. And in my opinion even guys like Kanye or kl aren't even that innovative. If you compare the impact of rap in the 90s to the ones on the 10s, you can see the 10s advancement is nothing compared to the 90s.
