Covering the bottom half of the face only seems to have an impact on unattractive/average-looking people, while it makes no difference for attractive people. It also seems to have a bigger impact on foids, which explains why you would see more foids wearing masks during the pandemic.

On the other hand, when you cover the top half of the face, it barely has an effect on unattractive people, whereas it impacts attractive people. It still has a bigger impact on foids though.

This proves that the lower third is the leading cause of faceceldom, whereas the eye area will be the make or break in determining whether you're a Chad or not.
