Ukraine war seems like it will be this long ww1 style artillery/trench warfare grind

The war basically could go on for decades. As I don't see the West or China running out of money or ability to produce weapons to send in. Compared to ww1 era its just not that hard to produce and ship in big time volume. Plus the pace seems a lot slower than ww1 was anyway.

Thats what makes the Afghans so hard to fight, is war isn't a burden to them. They look forward to the war season while they are stuck in their hovels during winter.
