Turning itachi into a anti hero was a stupid idea

itachi was always a mysterious character in naruto who killed uchiha clan for some reason and tortured sasuke for it. Then when itachi arrives with kisame and cucks sasuke you kind off get the feeling damn shit about to go down. Itachi is going to be some crazy powerful villain. But then that fag sasuke trains and kills him only to realise he killed the clan to save him.
Whole idea of him killing his clan to prevent coup and how the show justifies his actions of torturing sasuke and committing genocide of his family is nothing but kishimito trying hard to make a character complex. Itachi as a villain would have been way better

Yes, Itachi going ER and wiping out a whole clan of sharingan users with a lot of being trained is kinda dumb but at least there is a logic behind it and it's interesting. I haven't read the itachi novels, but I'm pretty sure in there it is explained that the reason Shisui killed himself is because an Aburame clan member (bug people) of the foundation poisoned him. That's the uchihas strongest prodigy getting clapped by a bug boy.

The issue wasn't the decision itself, Kishimoto was just a really shitty writer and hardly understood how to set ideas up for future use.

If it were foreshadowed more then it wouldn't even be that terrible of a plot twist

I’m still not convinced when Itachi can just Tsukuyomi anyone into a diaper shitting vegetable. And it depends, considering Danzo’s faction suggested genocide it makes sense to wipe them out. Danzo jobbed to saucegay like a cuck so Itachi could clear him easily. If the remaining ‘moderate’ konoha ninjas are still willing to genocide to Uchiha in retaliation then good doesn’t exist in Konoha and Naruto is a dumb series preaching morals in a world where all the characters are willing to kill innocents without giving a f
