ISTANBUL, TURKEY – MARCH 5, 2026 Victim is Semiha Deniz, who was shot by her husband Emrah Deniz, with whom she was in divorce proceedings. The attack occurred in front of their children’s school, where Semiha had come to pick up her daughter. Although she had a court-ordered restraining order against her husband, Emrah Deniz seriously injured her on the street and fled the scene. The woman died after being transported to the hospital. The attacker was later caught by the police.
