How strong you are does not matter in tug of war, as long as you can hold on to the rope.
The only factors that matter are - weight, height and coefficient of friction to the ground

The tension in the string is constant and both people experience the same force, regardless of who is doing the pulling.
If you're the disadvantaged team, you're just going to pull yourself forward.

T = tension in the string
m1,m2 = masses (uncontrollable, heavier team has advantage)
u1,u2 = coefficient of friction (uncontrollable, more coefficient of friction has an advantage)
a = small angle (Taller team has the advantage)

The condition for the team 1 slipping is u1 * (m1*g + T*sin(a)) = T * cos(a)
The condition for the team 2 slipping is u2 * (m2*g - T*sin(a)) = T * cos(a)

Absolutely comical that people think it's a sport. :feelskek:

so a landwhale will if it has constant pull with enough friction.

If a lanwhale can hold on to the rope, the guy will just pull himself towards her.
