Interesting. No doubt a lot of women who hate men are rejoicing at the idea of men failing. Some of them have suggested that men are just less naturally less intelligent and hardworking that women.

I feel like there are a lot of factors at work here; 2nd and 3rd wave feminism have had a negative influence but I don’t think they are solely to blame for men/boys failing.

Western culture has become increasingly hedonistic since the 60s; tolerating the degenerate stoner hippie as a funny and likeable stock character in movies instead of the useless waste that he is was a mistake. In my country, girls only started doing better than boys at school in 1988 (when the baby boomers started to take over control of the media and corporal punishment went out).

Part of it is just shit liberal education and soft parenting. To be honest, anyone with a brain knows boys need more strict discipline in school and in the home. Women are generally followers and tend to fall in line behind authority naturally. Men/need to have authority earn their respect/fear/admiration before they take advice/fall in line.

In countries like China or India, where parenting and school is much more strict and authoritative, there is hardly any gap between males and females educationally and boys do much better in STEM in these countries.
