I knew this man irl. He was much older than me but I'd seen him and interacted with him since I was a kid.

He had down syndrome, and all of his life was literally just watching TV and listening to his radio. Nothing else.

Now he has passed at 60.

If the mourning that the people around him displayed after his passing is to be considered genuine, which I hope it was, it still doesn't change the fact that he lived a very hard life.

May he rest in peace now.

I was supposed to have down syndrome but the doctor misdiagnosed. I wish I had it I wouldn't have to work and just collect disability.

In that sense, I believe his life was somewhat comfortable.
