This happened to Elliot Rodger when going to that party in Isla Vista where he sprained his ankle and got beat up (and robbed of his golden chain). Because he was a socially inept aspiecel he drank a whole bottle of vodka before going to the party to be as low inhib as possible, he recalls that he was already very drunk before entering to the first house.

He thought that since he was drunk people would laugh with him and invite him to socialize and meet foids but everyone ignored or avoided him just like when he was sober. Even alcohol didn't make him as low inhib as he wanted because he didn't have the courage to go and speak to people, more the opposite alcohol just made him more irritable and angry so that's how he got into a fight because he started calling a group of Chads "faggots" and accusing them of stealing his Gucci sunglasses.
