Lot can happen in a month, not necessarily in your life but around the globe. I’ve thought about this a few times before.
I’ve overheard normies talk for what seemed like as you’ve described “hours.”
They talk about some of the most mundane nonsense . Yet , they are engaged and attentive to each other .

I’ve thought of the reasons on why is it , that I have nothing to say . The points that come to mind is firstly , knowing that it’s useless to try . Our minds have become to used to such negative feedbacks from normies that we start to avoid that pain by not talking and trying to interact with them . Anyways it’s not like they want to talk to us and be nice .

Another is how we’re so burnt out . Imagine having to deal with the overbearing anxiety of being an incel in this world that hates the likes of us .
We only have so much energy and you just end up not having to motivation to bother attempting anything social .

At least that’s what I’ve observed in my life so far .

All I can say is I’m grateful for this forum being an emotional outlet . I have none in the real world . If you've missed out on milestones you can't relate to certain things that most can, then you've got the fake it 'till you make it mob. Normies put the act of interaction first & the subject second; the goal is not the topic but charging up through interaction therefore they avoid sensitive or niche topics as it can lead to conflict or the conversation stalling so they choose safe or the most mainstream shit to keep the car rolling so to speak.

If you're ugly, express actual opinions, talk about stuff that requires time to think on, wish to stay on one thing in depth or take your time to choose your words then they don't want none.

I feel retarded with words, they feel foreign to me. I also had a language delay and have always been withdrawn and quiet. Even when someone asks me something about a topic I know a lot about, I struggle to come up with words. Unless I make a conscious effort I tend to reply yes no or I don't know to people, I've become better at being more verbose over the years but it's still a struggle especially when I'm not mentally prepared for a conversation.

Kek same happens to me. I tend to get short replies when I initiate conversation, while when I see someone else saying the same or something similar, or not even saying anything at all, the other person will go off on a long ass tangent.

One of the reasons integrating into a group conversation as a non-NT is a nightmare is because it's not subconscious for you. Consciousness lags behind by about half a second. I can only participate in group conversations if I make dumb repetitive remarks like "really why" or "then what?" that don't take time to formulate. For some reason after I do this a couple of times, I tend to stop getting talked over when I try to talk.
