Does it ever occur to you that you can drink by yourself and be hangover the next day? Drinking in itself does not require socializing. Many alcoholics are lone drinkers.

I'm a lone drinker but I don't suffer much from hangovers, even if I become black out drunk. I'll feel groggy, but am luckily spared from headaches or nausea.
I never drank alcohol, so I don't know what its like.
I'm also a solitary drinker. I avoid hangovers by taking two aspirin before going to bed and drinking enough water so that my body doesn't remove it from the meninges, which is why my head hurts.
