I was replaying Donkey Kong Country Returns and the last world is almost entirely comprised of tedious trial and error level design where the game throws shit at you that you couldn't even see. Yes, I can memorize it but that isn't satisfying. I just feel as if I wasted my time. Same with Dark Souls. I prefer when game difficulty is reliant on reaction times VS trial and error

Yeah i want to learn the mechanics of the game and practice them to improve so that even when i am thrown against any enemy or into any situation i can deal it with effectively. I want to master the game and not the bosses themselves whose faces i am not gonna ever again see after i beat them with all their moves memorized. What's the point in mastering a boss when the next nigga i am gonna face wipes the floor clean with me. But mastering the bosses through trial and error could be intriguing to some people. It might be their autistic obession, idk. I am kinda obessive with shit i do as well. To each their own i guess.

Memorizing bosses is fine. My issue is when they're just blatantly unfair. Let's say they initiate an attack you couldn't possibly see coming unless you already fought against it. That's a waste of time.

All DS3, Elden Ring and Bloodborne bosses were like that absolute unfun garbage. Actually DS1 and 2 were much slower so you could react no problem against their attacks and heal up while for those new ADHD much faster titles it's just impossible, and with ER they made all enemies even bigger and fatter than you with a lot of aoe attacks which makes visibility even worse you can't survive anything without constant rolling/riposting and playing like a bitch.

From soft's gimmick is being hard as possible. They have to constantly double down on it and introduce things like roll delay so that normies feel like they get their money's worth.

Normies feel accomplished for memorizing a boss for four hours and then beating it.

Same with Dark Souls. I prefer when game difficulty is reliant on reaction times VS trial and error

I recomend leveling first Vigor (HP) until soft cap to prevent dying fast while still learning the enemies 's attacks and how time the rolls, and using a shield. Even better, a greatshield, it trivializes most of the game and you won't need rolling that much

if you dont like trail and error then dont play difficult games or play games with diffculty slider, easy mode cause monster hunter is trail and error when you try to solo games with high rank elder dragons unless you play in gruop then the game is easy

Roblox obbies is literally this
