There is no mythization of the past here. It only serves as a reference point that things were different and better run in terms of having a stable society and strong culture. Whether one wants to imagine he would more happy or less in such society is up to him.

The fact is that the cause of inceldom for a lot of men here is the modern society of the last 20-40 years. 80% of people here would not be incels even like 70 years ago. Now whether those people would live better or not back then is up to their personal feelings.

I think it's hard to argue against the fact that lives were more meaningful for men back then. You can't really look to any part of the past and envy it without also accepting that was a world without modern technology. Much of our problem is that we're trying to run agrarian or industrial age concepts in a physical environment that is not at all similar to those previous epochs. A good example is the school system. It's based on industrial age factories, complete with "shifts," bells and whistles, chains of command like factory management.
