Brutal Today was a holiday in my country...

It's a once-a-hear hobby, much like Thanksgiving where families and loved ones gather.
Now to be honest I'm happy I spent it with my family and my uncle's family and cousins. It was good to be honest. But then checking my phone in the end of the day made me realize just how many friends I have. One dude remembered me today and sent a message about this holiday and it's a random younger guy I met online who I've advised on academics.
It's crazy, not a single person except this dude remembered my existence, just reminded me that outside of my family, I truly am completely alone.

this place is already depressing enough as it is, I don't wanna add salt to anyone's wound if I can avoid that. If you have a family that give two shits about you, hold them dear, and be grateful, chances are nobody else gives a fuck about you.
