How did you find out that you had autism and how does you autism Show and is your autism compulsive (high level) or low level?

How do your behaviors differ now from NT people and is it hard for you to socialize - I mean it generally is - but what arr thr main difficulties for you?

I was diagnosed when I was in the 5th grade. I was 10 or 11 at the time

I went for the diagnosis for a laugh thinking I didn't have it then got told I had it.

Now I know that I'm autistic, looking back, it was very obvious that I was autistic. I'd always known there was something different about me which made my life a lot more difficult, it felt like there was no way of fixing it. I guess I was right, there's no cure for the 'tism.

How does it show in you?

i assume you say things that are "unusual" or simply dont have much to do with the situation or having weird hobbies that NT Normies find absurd?

I would get really obsessed with the hobbies I'm into. What I get obsessed with changes all the time so I thought I wasn't autistic for a while since most autistic people have one thing they've always obsessed over. I would certainly annoy people by talking to them about whatever my weird interest was at the time.

I was always very weird socially. Would say some very inappropriate things. I'd take things said in one context and say it elsewhere and couldn't understand why I'd get such a negative reaction. Trying to understand social situations felt about as useful as bashing my head against the wall.

Making friends was way way harder. I was fortunate to end up with a good group of friends before finishing school though.

People can immediately pick up on it because of my eye area. I have horrible prey eyes.

How do your behaviors differ now from NT people and is it hard for you to socialize - I mean it generally is - but what arr thr main difficulties for you?

Hard to describe fully but the main thing that hinders me is that because I have trouble reading people I tend to say and do a lot of stuff that is out of line. That's what made me high inhib in the first place, just assuming that I'll fuck up anything I do
