And I'm pretty sure this is an April fool's joke. There's no way to have this verification that would work reliably the way they described (stand next to a commercial building, what?). They could require a photo of your driver license in places where it has height info, otherwise you wouldn't have the "verified" badge next to your height.

Honestly.. I think that 2030 is going to be like 1930 Weimar Republic at this point, all across the world.. the amount of degradation in the world in 1st world countries for instance, the huge divide between those in healthy, happy employment and those below the poverty line.. it just keeps getting a lot worse every year.. just a total decline in public and social spending too. Definitely an April Fool's joke, due to the obvious discrepancy where the heights scrolled and it jumped from 5'9 to 6'0, but height discrimination towards men is really nothing to joke about.

I don't think so. I think they're calling it a joke to see just how much they can get away with before they implement the feature. In a sense, it's a giant shit test to see how much more they could profit from women before they lose men.
This has always happened before a giant corporation or government implemented an anti-man law. They try to "prime" the general population before they implement it in order to avoid backlash.
