What is that even supposed to mean?
It's not a video game. It's not like the people you're swiping on are avatars, they're real people. The idea is to get chatting and then meet up with them, so it transitions into "real life" very quickly.
I struggle to even understand what the bluepill argument is, that Tinder is looksbased? Well so is real life. You don't talk to people with romantic intent if you don't like their looks.
The irony of this is the people parroting this sentence are meeting people from Tinder all the time. It's not like they're all anti-technologists who don't have dating apps. It's a "rules for thee, not for me".
What they're implying is that those who are the least successful on Tinder should ditch what everyone else is having success with. "You're so bad at the game that you should quit it, I'm doing well though so "Tinder isn't reality" doesn't apply to me teehee".
So the bottom of the barrel guys who aren't successful on Tinder are supposed to be the ones that do the heavy lifting of approaching in person, which people who get matches on Tinder barely do anymore.
Tinder is absolutely reality. Real people. Real conversations. That you then meet up with in real life. It's not the fucking Sims.
