Thoughts on Avatar?

They're coming out with a third Avatar movie. I thought the second one bombed but apparently not. I liked the first one but that was only because the final battle was pretty epic watching the RDA Marines fucking obliterate the blue monkey scum.

It just seemed like more political propaganda of humans bad, aliens good to relate to real conflicts like the Europeans against the Indian Native Americans. These two conflicts aren't comparable since there's deleted scenes purposefully removed from the movie to make the humans goals go from understandable, to pure evil. In the deleted scene, it shows earth turning into a polluted shit hole running out of natural recourses to keep their civilization alive which is why they have to invade Pandora. In the movie, it's said it's only for money and that's it.

I watched it yesterday.

storytelling? not good. because it's the same as Avatar 1 & 2, really 1:1 the same.

cinematic? wonderful. beautiful, you have to watch in cinema 3D

I watched Avatar when I was like 10 in the cinema and liked it, but when I rewatched it like 12 years later I thought the story was kinda bad even if the CGI still holds up. Then Avatar 2 (didn't watch it in the cinema) is just the same story but worse so I didn't like that one too much.
