Its just another way to throw the hot potato and justify their female in-group bias. Nothing special. Its almost too predictable. Its an game of hot-potato when an foid accuses you of being an 'performative male' so you have to accuse or shame another person into doing that. Its an way to restrict ugly men into their hobbies, because they don't want them there.

Anyway, the whole "performative male" discourse just shows that as a male, no matter what you do or say, you're doing something wrong (unless you're good looking of course).

All that said, when it comes to gen z misandrist women vs performative males, it's like "alien vs predator" to me. A performative male is the type who would report you to HR for a slightly politically incorrect joke, get you fired, then brag about it for a few seconds of validation from m'ladies for "keeping them safe". They actively look for opportunities to fuck over other men, and would gleefully jump at an opportunity to do this to guys like us. Hell, they fantasize about the opportunity to screw over guys like us. I've heard stories from guys I've known about these types of guys digging through social media accounts of their male coworkers, looking for anything remotely politically incorrect to use to get them fired. So I'm sure as hell not going to stand up for those types of guys.
There's also a neijuan component to performative male behavior as it's rooted in intrasexual competition. Just like looksmaxxers try to "mog" other guys by looksmaxxing, redpillers try to "mog" other guys by getting "jacked" or learning "game", etc. etc. performative males try to "mog" other guys by being more "virtuous". So much of male behavior (I'd argue most) boils down to intrasexual competition.
