This is what makes them great, contrary to West countries, they know that Russia as a nation is at stake. So no matter who is on the lead, the country must move forward as a whole.

China probably has to step up their support for Russia. I don't think China necessarily wants to help Russia so much that Russia overruns Ukraine. But China wants to make sure Russia isn't losing ground, and especially that Russia is secure long run.
