People think we live in a Sodom and Gomorrah type shit civilization. We are not even that. We are just an amalgamation of deep rooted mediocritiness that nobody will care to even remind themselves of, like a bad memory or a childhood flu.

I was reading a passage in a confucius book (analects) that compares different types of kingdoms.

He says something like: "x civilization left tradition and rites through their noteworthy intellectuals, so i can look them up and know them. Y civilization left nothing, so i cant do the same for them".

We are the y civilization.

Modern society not just openly refrains ACTUAL, REAL culture, it actively works towards its OPEN DESTRUCTION.

It does feel that way. Especially cause what are supposed to be the historical antagonistic forces (catholic church, nationalists...) are either pathetic lukewarm cowards or are deeply entrenched in the bullshit without even realizing it.
