I never understood the obsession with wanting to be "represented" in video games or media in general. Hell, the last thing i'd want is to play a video game where the main character (or ANY character) looks like me. I wouldn't play a game like that even if the gameplay and story were amazing.
If anything I go the opposite extreme, I like characters that have admirable traits who are the antithesis of what I am. I like main characters who are popular high IQ pretty boys that all the girls like.

i would literally get depressed if i played a character representing my life lol. I think the reason they want to be represented is because they understand that the people who are represented are the people at the top of the genetic pool (athletic, smart, intuitive etc). So if they get represented they will feel like their genetics aren’t bottom tier and that they have some worthwhile characteristics. Woman are just narcissistic as hell.
It's even funnier because this version of Croft is still fucking nerfed as far as her body is concerned compared to her original, Legends, and Underworld body. She used to be much bustier and had a fatter ass, so this reboot version of hers is still nowhere near as good.
