This is what happens when you try and ammend code that absolute fools have written it turns you literally insane as you have to think in this illogical convoluted way, wordpress is written like some kind of joke php project stuck together using 1 billion php include files , and purely because its easy to use BUT ONLY FOR THE END USER TO MAKE SHIT TEMPLATE LOOK THE SAME WEBSITES, it has been mass adopted. However for anyone coding and trying to make it customisable and make their own plugins you are diving into a world where there is little to no logic used, nothing makes sense as a whole or is in any way intuitive, terms are redefined to mean completely different things, a post is apparently the same as a page, but has completely different functions to a page, but looks the same, has the same structure everything is the same as a page but the code to call and ammend it is completely different, its literally insane.

for this to be the case wordpress would not have advertised themselves as the solution for individuals and small businesses to easily make a website quickly and with little to no knowledge.
