The dashcam video made me think of the final destination movies

That was a catastrophic mechanical failure that led to inevitable death.

If a semi truck suffers a catastrophic brake or engine failure there's a small chance of survival.

With planes, a catastrophic failure leads to 100% death.

If an engine falls off like that or fails during takeoff, that leads to massive horizontal and vertical instabiliy which inevitably leads to crashing.

Flying is many magnitudes safer than driving.

What they don't tell you is that in the rare chance that an airplane suffers a catastrophic failure whether mechanical or human error, that leads to 100% death.
