When I had one (lost it due to getting my acc banned for other shit) I was the only mod for about like 30 people. Don't have moderators, just the owner and the users and if you are mentally. stable you won't fuck your self over. If you pick the members right, you won't even need to moderate and you really shouldn't tbh. I prefer instant messaging over forums.
